About this product
Care for it, see how it responds. A small 3D companion for elementary-school children.
Pocket Tail is a 3D digital pet development project for elementary-school children. Its upright handheld body pairs a rounded screen above with round physical controls below, bringing care and play into a small companion.
What it makes possible.
An upright handheld body with round controls below the screen
Developing care and response interactions
A small world, with controls close at hand.
The upright body places a rounded screen above two black buttons and an orange center key. The design brings the screen and shell curves together and lowers the center key profile. A bright yellow palette uses control colors to help make their roles easy to distinguish.

Care that invites a response.
Feeding, checking in and playing together are interaction ideas under exploration. Repeated small exchanges are intended to build a sense of familiarity with the 3D pet. The design is aimed at elementary-school children, with clear controls and everyday carrying in mind.
