In late June 2026, Pinmoo advanced to the second screening of the GOOD DESIGN AWARD. It is a meaningful checkpoint in the development process. This is an update on the screening stage, not an award announcement.
A small device needs a clear role
Pinmoo is a slim e-paper reminder device for plans and notes. Before expanding its feature list, we ask where it belongs, when someone will see it and what it should help them remember.
Design around familiar actions
Picking up a phone, opening the fridge or leaving through the door creates a moment to see a reminder. Thinness, readable information, the white body and green light are considered together with these everyday actions.
Keep developing while the review continues
Preparing the submission has also helped us revisit our reasons for the design. We want Pinmoo to become a useful object for small daily tasks. While the screening continues, so does our work on its use cases and details.
